From a very young age and through difficult personal experiences, I realized that pain, is not only a burden, but it is what can bring out our talents, our essence, make us more resilient and help us grow. And so, I saw pain as a "gift", as a series of pleasant surprises! So, this gift shaped my values, which have guided me and continue to guide me, in all aspects of my life. Giving and caring, authenticity stemming from deep communication and connection, the desire for wellness, enjoyment and joy, harmony, continuous evolution and achievement are the filter of my decisions and choices both personally and professionally. At the age of fifteen, the figure of a physiotherapist offering his services to a little girl with a physical disability, showed me the way to how I could express all these values and pass them on to the future. So, I studied physiotherapy at the Athens Technological Educational Institute (ATEI) and specialized in manual therapy and other methods. I offered my services in various structures and cooperative groups but also in the private physiotherapy clinic that I maintained in Kifissia for years. My daily contact and communication with dozens of people at the bedside of pain, has taught me that the hand of the physiotherapist cannot heal all injuries. There are invisible injuries, impalpable by hand, whose healing, sometimes, can heal visible ones. So, I found myself studying not only the body as a machine, but also the thoughts, behavior and emotions of the people I came into contact with. My need for knowledge of the science of psychology led me to the corresponding department at Panteion University. I devoted myself to the study of methods, theories and techniques, that aim to provide the desired changes in people's lives and empower them in the face of any challenging situation that life brings. I believe in lifelong learning. I believe that we all deserve a better and happier life, being fully connected to ourselves, the people in our immediate environment and society. I also believe that we all deserve access to health services. I am moved when people overcome the barriers that separate them and come closer together, when they are freed from their fears, when they discover the best version of themselves. The trifecta "Heal. Connect. Triumph." which incorporates the concept of synthesis, is the pillar of my work as a psychotherapist, it is the "tool" that can help all people open those strange, positive surprise-filled "gifts" that life brings. It is what binds me to remain committed to giving back to people, to continuous personal development, but also to the value and the need to transcend, when the guiding principle is a better tomorrow for all of us. So, I welcome you to work together and join me on a journey full of faith, care, empathy, sweetness, calmness and deep and meaningful communication and connection, in a safe and respectful environment and to overcome obstacles and fears together to achieve what I call the meaning of life and that is ReConnecT, ReConnection!
